Our annual trip to the snow was amazing! For some it was the first time touching or even seeing snow, so obviously the odd snowball was always going to be on the cards.

One thing is for sure, everyone made leaps and bounds (Or is it slips and slides?) under the always awesome tutelage of the great folk at Disabled Wintersport Australia.

We certainly hit the jackpot with the weather, it was magical! The combo of blue skies and white snow was beautiful. We ventured on the chairlift to the Perisher summit station for some stunning afternoon vistas. Some of our travellers even stepped it up and took on the J-bar and chairlift runs. No mean feat on only our newbies!

One afternoon we rode the ski tube to the Blue Cow summit for a quite hot chocolate and a view of Mt. Kosciuszko. After a big day, we decided to get out of base camp again in the evening and had a wonderful meal out in Jindabyne.

It was genuinely t-shirt weather at Smiggins Holes on our last day on the slopes. We could have even happily pulled up some deck chairs, but there were skis to clip on, snow to shred and mountains to tame. We rounded out the afternoon with a sneaky hour on the toboggan hill.

It's safe to say that expectations were met, exceeded and blasted out of the water. All 7 of our travellers graduated from the magic carpet and were carving their way down some serious runs by this afternoon.

Thanks to Tom and the DWA guides. You are amazing instructors and wonderful people. It was indeed a fantastic snow holiday filled with great times and new friendships!
