Let’s step back in time together to the golden days of the Gold Rush in Ballarat.
We will make our way to Sovereign Hill, which is a recreated gold township of the 1850s where you can experience life in that era. There’s real gold to be panned – and it’s finders’ keepers, an underground gold mine, street theatre and the opportunity to meet costumed goldfields characters.
We will be immersed in history as we step further back in time to the medieval period with a visit to Kryal Castle, a legendary land of adventure, with knights, dragons, wizards, and so much more. Journey through the chambers of the Dragons Labyrinth; experience the drama of a medieval joust; get lost in the maze; be enchanted by pantomimes; or learn the ancient art of archery. Once you cross the drawbridge, a kingdom of myth, magic and fantasy will enthrall you.
We will also be visiting the site of the famous Eureka Stockade – where miners rebelled against the government to fight for their rights.
There is so much to see and do in Ballarat and we have it covered. All you have to do is pack you bags to step back in time with us.
This package includes staffing support (at required level), return flights, transport at the destination, accommodation, activities as per itinerary & all main meals. Each participant will also receive the option for a hard cover photo book, full of their fun holiday memories.

We will be up and out early to have breakfast before driving to Sovereign Hill. Named Australia’s best ‘Major Tourist Attraction’ four times in a row, we will be swept back into the gold rush era; with horse drawn carriages, soldiers, gold panning and old-time shops - there is plenty to see and do! If we find any gold, we get to keep it too!!
After a fun day, we will have dinner together at one of the local restaurants in Ballarat and have some chill time together or if you want to relax alone, you can.
Another day of history awaits us today. This time we are going back to the world of knights in shining armour slaying dragons and setting their princess free form the evil witch! We will drive to Kryal Castle – a medieval castle set in the countryside of Ballarat. Today you can joust with knights, mix up potions, learn the ancient art of archery and get lost and found in the maze. It is sure to be a day of adventure and enchantment.
We will drive back laughing and sharing our stories and have dinner together in town.
Today we will be taking our time with breakfast and staying in Ballarat to enjoy all this town has to offer. With a visit to the Eureka Centre, a working sheep and alpaca farm, a drive around the lake, we will have time to do some souvenir shopping and enjoy this beautiful historic town.
We will enjoy our last dinner together before packing our things ready for our trip home.
We will be up early today to make our way back to Melbourne for our flight home after breakfast. On arrival back in Sydney, we will meet up with our family and friends and bid farewell to the new friends we have made.
