Travel with us to the coastal cosmopolitan capital of South Australia. Adelaide is a capital city bursting with colour, culture and entertainment, surrounded by natural wonders and beautiful parks. We will visit some of Adelaide’s most popular attractions such as the historic Adelaide Gaol and the famous Central Markets. We will spend a day at Monarto Safari Park, the largest open range zoo in the world, known for its large free roaming lion pride, giraffes and rhinoceros.
One of the highlights will be the Murray River Paddle boat cruise, this famous waterway was the goods highway for many years and a lifeblood of inland Australia. We will learn of this valuable history and see in practice how the river has changed over the years from commercial to recreation. It’s a beautiful part of Australia and one to cross off the bucket list.
Each participant will have access to photos taken on their holiday and we have hard cover photo books available for purchase too.

Our staff will be ready to welcome you at the departure point, farewell your families and friends and start the adventure. After our flight, we will jump into our bus and head through the city to our hotel where we can check into our rooms, settle in and enjoy the amenities. They have a great pool!!!
We will have a fun dinner together, getting to know each other for the week ahead!
This morning after a hearty breakfast, we will be driving out to Murray Bridge, a riverside town where we will be boarding the Captain Proud Paddle Boat to explore the vast and natural beauty of the River Murray.
The Captain Proud Paddle Boat boasts a fully decked out period styled dining area and bar. We will enjoy a fine meal as we cruise slowly past majestic scenery and experience the wildlife of the river in all its untamed natural beauty. There are many points of interest along the way that can only be seen upon the river boat! We will learn of the wonderful history of the area as we relax in comfort and style! This is a unique experience that will be both fun and memorable.
After a cruisy day on the river (pun entirely intended), we will head back to buy some supplies to cook up a meal together and enjoy the sunset.
Today we’re visiting the world’s biggest open range zoo! Monarto Safari Park is home to many of Africa’s most impressive animals and also one of Australia’s largest lion prides and giraffe herds. Spanning more than 1,500 hectares and home to more than 50 species of exotic and native mammals, birds and reptiles, the park is home to more than 500 animals roaming in vistas as far as the eye can see. It’s an escape from the city that immerses visitors in a natural safari-style setting.
We’ll see lions, rhinos, zebras, cheetahs and many more animals, all in a natural open plain environment. We’ll ride the Zu-loop bus around the open plains of the safari park. It will feel like we have stepped out into our very own African safari! The bus will bring us through our large open-range exhibits, and we will get to see the amazing animals in a natural setting and hear stories and fun facts from the passionate guides! The Zu-loop bus has many stops and we can get out onto the viewing platforms to get the best view of these beautiful creatures.
After a big day, we will head back into the city to enjoy a relaxing evening together.
Today we’ll spend some time in the city, relaxing in the beautiful gardens and parks, posing with the colourful street art, St Peter’s Cathedral and we’ll visit the Central Markets to stock up on any souvenirs.
After a tasty lunch, we will visit the Adelaide Gaol and see what it was like to live as a prisoner of the olden day times. Step back in time and walk the hallways and cells of South Australia's first inmates. Experience what daily life in prison was really like. Wander along, lost in your own imagination and visit our interactive exhibition. If you're really lucky, you may catch a glimpse of one of our ghostly sightings.
Tonight, we will enjoy our last dinner together in one of Adelaide’s many restaurants before heading back to the hotel to pack for home tomorrow.
After we enjoy breakfast at our hotel, we’ll check out and make our way back to the airport. We will check into our flight and travel home. On arrival we’ll farewell our new friends and be welcomed back by our family and friends who are waiting for us to arrive.
