This morning when you wake, you’ll be in New Zealand!! It might be known as “Windy Wellington”, but New Zealand’s capital won’t take the wind out of your sails! The quaint port city of Wellington offers waterside views, foodie delights and cultural charms that will have you wanting to stay! But after dinner, the Splendor will set sail for its next New Zealand destination!
Next port of travels is Lyttelton in Christchurch. The largest city on the south island. It's a colourful town, home to a community of nearly 3000, brimming with bohemian artists, cafés, quirky shops and restaurants. Lyttelton's heritage buildings were badly damaged during the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. However, in the years following widespread demolition, this small town has re-invented itself as one of the most creative communities in New Zealand!
This morning you’ll find yourself in Port Chalmers Dunedin! A city with unique landscapes and interesting cultural history. There is rare wildlife to encounter and quirky city vibes to take in. Known as the Edinburgh of New Zealand, Dunedin wears its Scottish heritage with pride. Surrounded by dramatic hills and at the foot of a long, picturesque harbour, Dunedin is one of the best-preserved Victorian and Edwardian cities in the Southern Hemisphere.
Get ready to have your mind blown today! Cruising Fiordland Park with jaw dropping scenery, this part of your New Zealand cruise is going to sure be a highlight. It is home to glaciers, alpine ranges and is one of New Zealand’s treasured natural icons. Fiordland National Park itself covers 1.2 million hectares of mountain, lake, fiord and rainforest environments. The ice carved landscape inundated with water will be like cruising in a real-life postcard.
Leaving New Zealand with holidays snaps, keepsake souvenirs and memories to forever cherish, today we set sail, back on the Splendor for more days and nights of fun at sea with Carnival. Enjoy the facilities, food and entertainment that cruising life is famous for. Go at your own pace, check out a show, take on the waterslides or just simply relax. In the evening enjoy more entertainment and fine dining. This leg of the trip will also have the final night on the Splendor, so the crew from Carnival have some serious fun planned for you on this last evening!
All good things must come to an end. But these holidays memories you’ll keep forever! The view back into Sydney Harbour in the morning is a beautiful sight. After breakfast, we check out and you’ll arrive back to meet our family and friends and tell them all about your fantastic New Zealand cruise holiday.
All participants can treasure their holiday memories forever with the purchase of a hard cover keepsake photo book
