Are you mad about football? Join us for an exciting weekend in the sporting mecca that is Melbourne.
AFL, NRL, behind the scenes stadium tours and much more, our Melbourne Football Mania holiday package has it all!
We will be staying in the heart of Melbourne close to all the city sights, shops, cafés, restaurants, transport and of course, a hop, skip, roll or walk to the stadium.
Saturday will see us at AAMI Park for the NRL match between Melbourne Storm & the Penrith Panthers, this game is sure to be a cracker! The atmosphere is going to be electric at AAMI!
Sunday we will be attending the AFL match between St Kilda and the West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium.
Being such a beautiful city, we also want to see some sights! So, we will enjoy a Yarra River cruise which will take us from the CBD past the ports to Docklands where we will see one the busiest trading ports in the Southern Hemisphere!
Sticking the with sporting theme, we will also visit the National Sports Museum at the MCG and explore the inner sanctum of the famous cricket ground, walk on the hallowed arena and experience where legends play by taking a guided MCG tour! We will also fit in a tour of Marvel Stadium where we’ll get a look behind the scenes of this famous sportsground.
Sporting fans are sure to get a kick out of this action-packed holiday!
This holiday package includes return flights Sydney to Melbourne (Tullamarine), 4 night twin share accommodation, all main meals, all activities as per itinerary and all staffing expenses. Each participant will also receive the option for a hard cover photo book, full of their fun holiday memories.

Meeting at Sydney Domestic Terminal, we will introduce and welcome participants to our group then check-in and farewell our families and friends. Melbourne, here we come! On arrival in Melbourne, we will collect our luggage and make our way to the Skybus which will take us into the city to our accommodation. Once we have checked-in and settled into our rooms, we’ll suss out the hotel facilities and enjoy some free time. In the evening we’ll head out for some dinner. Melbourne is well known for its award-winning hospitality so we’re sure to be in for a delicious treat!
After enjoying a scrumptious breakfast at our hotel, we will get ready for our first day of sporting fun! We will catch the tram to the MCG where we will visit the National Sports Museum. The Museum boasts interactive zones, 3D holograms, displays and memorabilia from some of our country’s greatest sports heroes. For lunch we will go to the Paddock Cafe at the MCG - Presented in a bright and comfortable space, the café offers wonderful views over the iconic MCG turf. Paddock Cafe is a celebration of the lighter side and history of the MCG. After lunch it will be time for our guided tour. We will gain an insight into Melbourne's sporting culture while exploring one of the world's most iconic stadiums, as we hear from the proud MCG volunteers and go behind the scenes. The afternoon is ours to enjoy this great city on its wonderful tram network. We can take a tram to visit Federation Square, take a walk down AC/DC lane, go shopping in Spencer St - It'll be a self-guided tour of all the best spots in Melbourne. Afterwards we will go back to our accommodation for some free time to relax before dinner.
Once again we will be spoilt for choice at breakfast before getting ready for another busy day. Today we will be cruising the Yarra River. We will meander past Melbourne CBD and discover one of the busiest trading ports in the Southern hemisphere. Victoria Docks will give you a snapshot of the maritime heritage of the area. After our cruise we’ll enjoy lunch along the Southbank Promenade. Afterwards we will go back to our accommodation for some free time to relax and then head to AAMI Park for the NRL match between Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers!
After breakfast we will get ready for the day and head to the tram station. It wouldn’t be a trip to Melbourne without plenty of tram rides, would it? Today we will take a “Behind the Scenes” tour of Marvel Stadium. We’ll visit the AFL players’ change rooms, the players and coaches’ briefing room, the coaches’ box, experience the feel of walking up the AFL umpires’ tunnel and much more. We’ll visit the Media Centre where the coaches go head-to-head at the conclusion of an AFL match with the media. We’ll inspect the room, which also doubles as the AFL Tribunal. After our tour we will enjoy some lunch. We will continue our day at Marvel as we amp up for the afternoon game, St Kilda against the mighty West Coast Eagles. After the game we will head back to out hotel for dinner together.
All good things must come to an end. After we enjoy our last delicious buffet breakfast we will check-out of our accommodation and make our way back to Melbourne airport on the Skybus. Soon after we have done our bag drop and checked into our flight we will be jetting back to Sydney. On arrival in Sydney we’ll collect our luggage and make our way to meet up with our families and friends.

The trip left off from Wollongong with the Home and Away theme song blaring for the Home and Away + More! trip. The bus ride was full of singing, getting to know each other and discussing some juicy Home and Away secrets.
