Our staff will be ready to welcome you at the departure point, farewell your families and friends and start the adventure. We will check into our flights and meet and greet new friends for the week ahead. Our flights go straight to Launceston where we will spend the afternoon checking into our hotel and relaxing in the picturesque city of Launceston. We will have dinner together in one of the many great restaurants in the area and have an early night.
Today at breakfast we will be choosing our own adventures! We have a free day to explore and experience all that the north of Tasmania has to offer. We may pop in to the festival this afternoon, scope out the scene, grab a bite to eat and check out the programme for the weekend. After a full day, we will have dinner together.
Get Festivale-ready, people! Today is all about good food, good times and good friends. Under historic elm trees, we can relax in the wide open space of City Park, while sampling locally sourced and made gourmet food, craft beers and beautiful products. There will be plenty to see and do. We will spend the day trying and buying, enjoying the music and great artists who will be playing on the main stage, cooking demonstrations and getting to know some of the locals and their artisanal delights. After a full day – of food and activities! – we will head back to chill out at our accommodation, maybe take a scenic walk together and those of us who are up to it can head back to the festival for some more music, good food and good vibes.
Today is another festival day. We will have a leisurely breakfast together and head back to City Park. We can catch up from anything we missed yesterday, there are new music artists on today and more cooking demonstrations with one of Australia’s top chefs, Karen Martini, who has planned a luncheon feast for all to share!
We can spend the afternoon chilling out on the grass, enjoying some music and relaxing with the crowds.
We will have a chilled night at our accommodation together. I am sure we will have plenty to share with each other!
After breakfast together, we will visit Launceston Gorge, a must see while in town. Here, you'll find walking and hiking trails, the world's longest single span chairlift, swimming pool, restaurant, kiosk, café peacocks and wildlife, beautiful gardens, suspension bridge, inclinator for easy access, and panoramic lookouts with spectacular views. The evening will find us packing for home. We will have our final dinner together reminiscing our favourite parts of the trip and making plans for our next visit.
Today we will make our way to the airport after a chilled out morning breakfast. We're sure the flight home will be filled with chatter about the great times had this week and will spill over to share with our families and friends when we meet up with them. We can say goodbye to the new friends made this week and take the memories with us forever.
All participants can treasure their holiday memories forever with the purchase of a hard cover keepsake photo book. Order here!
