Trusted Travel are hitting the road to fill up our tummies, pockets and eskies to support our local communities on the NSW South Coast. It’s been a hard year for families, businesses and communities in these areas. As restrictions lift and we can travel again, we have planned a road trip down the coast to have some fun and support the businesses doing it tough this year.

We will depart Wollongong and Sydney and travel south, spending the next few days visiting local towns impacted by the December and January fires. We will be buying local, spending our time and money in these towns and having some fun along the way with activities like whale watching and mini golf. The highlight of the week will be our visit to Mogo Zoo. We’ve all heard the story of the brave workers of the zoo staying to fight the fires and saving their beloved animals. The zoo is open again after COVID shutdowns and we are keen to visit and see these great animals and chat to the local heroes of the zoo and the community.

Day 1

Our staff will be ready to welcome you at the departure point, you’ll farewell your families and friends and start the adventure. We will jump on the bus and head down the coast, cranking some tunes along the way. We will find a great place to stop for lunch on the way and fill up our eskies for our few days in Batemans Bay. On arrival, we will check into our house and settle into our rooms. We will use the supplies from our eskies and the local shops to plan and cook a delicious meal together, developing our cooking and budgeting skills at the same time.

Day 2

We are heading to Mogo Zoo today. Mogo Zoo has a wonderful collection of animals – from the hilarious meerkats to the flying monkeys that sing like a choir – there is something for everyone at Mogo. We are set to have great day!

Mogo town was one of the hardest hit towns by the December fires so we will be visiting the local shops to spend some time and money in the community. They are starting to rebuild and have some great local produce and souvenirs available. After a massive day, we will head back to the house for dinner and some chill time.

Day 3

After breakfast together, we’ll jump in the bus and set out to visit some of the towns hit by the fires. Lake Conjola, Durras, Moruya Heads, Bodalla and Narooma are some of the towns on our list and we can pick and choose our way towards Narooma where we will spend the afternoon cruising the waters whale watching. It’s the migration season for whales so it’s highly likely we can share afternoon tea with some beauties in the water.

After a big day we will head back to Batemans Bay for some dinner together.

Day 4

Today we will have breakfast together, pack up our rooms and set out for home but a visit to Batemans Bay wouldn’t be complete without a round of mini golf! We will head home on the bus, stopping at one more town to share the love before we arrive back to meet up with our families and friends and share our stories and goodies from the trip.
