Mowbray Park Farm is like a journey back in time. It has a rich history dating back to the early days of European settlement in Australia, since 1822! All around the property you get this sense of time and history, the modern mixing with the old. The farm stay experience came into existence in the early 1980s and over the following 30+ years has evolved into one of the best farm experiences in Australia.

A visit to Mowbray Park will enlighten, educate and entertain people of all ages as we experience real farm life. Farm activities are central to the Mowbray Park Farmstay experience, we’re sure you will love the animal nursery! We’ll help feed animals of all sizes: donkeys, alpacas, ducks and sheep; you might help bottle feed a calf; you’ll certainly help milk a cow. For those keen to have a go, there is the horse trail ride too.

When we’re not participating in one of our farm organised activities then it is a perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the other activities such as canoeing, archery, tennis & swimming!

Throw in some tractor rides, boomerang throwing, whip cracking, billy tea & damper & a sit around a camp fire to toast some marshmallows, Mowbray Park has it all.

All you need to do is pack your bags and come down to the farm with us!

Day 1

Our staff will be ready to welcome you at the departure point, farewell your families and friends and start the adventure. On arrival, we will meet and greet the farm workers. We will be shown our lodge, and settle in and unpack our things. In the afternoon there will be time to look around the farm, say hi to some of the animals and maybe even get in an early tractor ride. In the evening, after a lovely country style meal we will enjoy a sit around a camp fire to toast some marshmallows or maybe we’ll have a movie night. Then we’ll then head back to our cabin for a chill out before bed.

Day 2

After we enjoy our country style breakfast and a quick cup of tea or coffee, we will meet the farmers at the BBQ area to check out the morning program and confirm the activities for the rest of the day. Then we’ll jump aboard the tractor and head off to the various areas of the farm to get hands on farm life experiences. After our morning activities, it’s back on the tractor to head up for lunch. After lunch we will check out Burragorang Lookout which offers spectacular views back towards the Blue Mountains.
Later we will enjoy a yummy dinner together and then sit and chat around the camp fire sharing our favourite experiences of the day. We’ll head back to our cabin for some free time before bed.

Day 3

After we enjoy our country style breakfast and a quick cup of tea or coffee, we will meet the farmers at the BBQ area to check out the morning program and confirm the activities for the rest of the day. Then we’ll jump aboard the tractor and head off to the various areas of the farm to get hands on farm life experiences. After lunch there are more activities such as canoeing and archery, or enjoy a more relaxed end to the day with a swim in the pool or just chill out in a shady spot and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 4

After another delicious breakfast we are going to jump in our bus and head off the farm to visit some of the local townships. Mowbray Park is situated in the middle of some of the oldest farming communities in Australia. The spectacular Southern Highlands are just a hop, skip and jump up the hill. We will spend a day exploring this area including Berrima, one of Australia’s most beautifully preserved villages from the early-colonial era.
Later we will enjoy our last dinner together, then our final sit and chat around the camp fire sharing our favourite stories about our farm stay.

Day 5

After we enjoy our last country style breakfast together, we will make our way back to our cabins to pack up our things and get ready to head home.
