Tasmania’s southern region is packed to the brim with things to do in and around the state’s capital, Hobart. From the breathtaking views atop of Mount Wellington to the historical vibe in the city, A trip to Tasmania should be on everyone’s wish list.

Spend a day hopping on and off the accessible Red Decker bus as you discover all the popular tourist attractions. The City Loop operates between 20 popular locations including the MONA ferry terminal at Brooke Street Pier, Salamanca Place, Battery Point, Wrest Point Casino, Sandy Bay Village, Cascade Brewery, Cascades Female Factory, Hobart CBD, Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery, Maritime Museum of Tasmania, Hobart Convict Penitentiary, Hobart Aquatic Centre, The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and Victoria Dock. You won’t miss a thing along the way.

Also on the itinerary is a day at historical Port Arthur. Your entry pass to the site includes interactive exhibits and displays that tell the story of the Port Arthur Historic Site and its people, a 40-minute, guided Introductory Walking Tour, a 25-minute Harbour Cruise and access to more than 30 historic buildings, ruins, restored houses, heritage gardens and walking trails.

You couldn’t come to Tasmania without visiting some of their unusual wildlife! A visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is a chance to come closer than ever to something wild and fragile. You’ll come face to face with animals that went extinct long ago in other parts of Australia like the Tassie Devil!

Journey to the tip top of Tasmania with a drive to the top of Mount Wellington. At the summit of Kunanyi/Mount Wellington, the pinnacle has great views and extremes of weather! Lookouts and observation decks provide vistas over Hobart and towards the east coast, and to the west over the World Heritage Area of southern Tasmania.
